A Night Full of Promises!

On Saturday night we were invited to a charity promises auction at the fantastic Netherby Hall near Carlisle. Organised by our friends Croft View Construction (who did a rather sterling job with our new office a couple of years back) the event was to raise funds towards our very own £100k Macmillan Challenge.

With a range of promises available from a 4 Piece Bathroom Suite including Tiling & Fitting, a handyman for the day or a 55″ flat screen TV we are both amazed and super pleased to say the event raised over £10,500!

In 2016 we set ourselves the challenge of raising one hundred thousand pounds for Macmillan Cancer Support, as a thank you for all the support they gave our friend and colleague Christopher Glaba during his final months. Sadly Chris died in December 2016, however the love and support that Macmillan Cancer Support gave Chris, and many many others in a similar situation will never be forgotten.

The massive effort from Ali and Adam Pate at Croft View Construction on Saturday brings our total so far to be in excess of £90,000 – only £10k off target. So a massive thank you to them, and to all of you for your support of our cause.

We will have a full update shortly of the funds raised and how they are helping people throughout the country deal with Cancer.
