On September 16th, Apple will be releasing the next version of their iOS software, version 9.

This currently contains a bug with Bluetooth pairing which affects external accessories.

If you are using an iZettle card reader to process debit/credit cards through the RapidScan Box Office app, we strongly advise that you do not update to iOS 9 until a bug fix has been released by Apple, otherwise it could affect your ability to use your card reader.

Apple have confirmed this bug exists in iOS 9 and are currently working on a fix, which should be issued shortly.

What should I do now?
Nothing. Do not update to iOS 9.0.

How do I know what version of iOS is available?
On your iPhone or iPad, tap Settings. Tap General. Tap Software Update. You’ll see what version of iOS is available for download.

Will my iPhone or iPad update itself automatically?
No. Although apps can update automatically, new versions of iOS don’t. You choose when to update.

How do I know what version of iOS I’m using?
On your iPhone or iPad, tap Settings. Tap General. Tap About. Look beside “Version” to see your current iOS version. You should stay on version 8.x

Is the Lite reader affected?
