Do you love music? Have you got industry connections and feel you can harness them, working side by side with event promoters to capture the imagination of the millions of people who flock to gigs, clubnights and festivals in this country?
We’re looking for someone with those qualities to join Skiddle – one of the UK’s biggest and most renowned primary ticketing agencies – as an Account Manager. You’ll be working in our new open plan office in Lancashire full-time and spending some of your weekends at events, constantly liaising with the biggest in the country.
Trading since 2001, Skiddle sells tickets for tens of thousands of events throughout the UK, from independent club nights through to 60,000 capacity festivals. The company currently sells for the likes of The Warehouse Project, Cream, Live Nation, and hundreds of independent venues and promoters across the country.
In 2016 Skiddle went through a hugely successful rebrand, resulting in massive growth across the business. The Account Management team is responsible for communicating our customer-focused message to our promoters, bringing passion to our ethos and the tools we have developed to support that.
To be suitable for this role, you’ll need to understand the music climate inside out, either a dance music enthusiast or someone gluttonous for gigs, and be capable of translating that passion into a business benefit. It’s desirable that you’ll come from a similar background in the industry, but not essential. This is a tremendous opportunity for a music professional to continue working in one of the most exciting industries in the modern job climate.

This is a role where you will be spending a lot of time in meetings, visiting clients and working at events. The role is mainly Monday to Friday, however, when a deadline is looming, an event needs attending or a large account needs attention you’ll be expected to put the extra hours in to ensure success. The role is very sociable and involves a fair amount of hospitality and making clients feel valued by the continuing use of Skiddle.
As a Skiddle Account Manager you will become an expert in our best practices of online ticketing, able to advise and suggest the perfect solutions to our clients needs. A rabid eye for detail will ensure events are setup perfectly utilising the variety of unique tools we have available to our promoters. The Account Management team sits at the heart of the business and you will be expected to communicate perfectly on an internal level, coordinating event launches and development across a variety of departments.
Our ideal candidate will have come from a background of working in the ticketing or music industry and be in the possession of a clean driving licence with permanent access to a vehicle. Academic qualifications are valued but not vital, above all you must be able to demonstrate a clear frontline passion for music.
