Skiddle Launch Stripe Integration

One of the big challenges which faces event promoters is cashflow. Advance ticket sales are an absolute necessary in order to guarantee attendance and monitor how well your event is performing, but it can tie up valuable income until after the event.

This can lead to cashflow frustrations – you have a successful event, which has sold lots of tickets and you need the cash to pay for artists, venue hire and staffing. However, most ticket agents won’t release funds until the event has taken place.

Skiddle have been working closely with Stripe and can now bring you ‘DirectPay via Stripe‘. DirectPay lets promoters link their Stripe account to their event checkout, so funds are settled directly into their own Stripe account instantly. This additional payment facility is available as an alternative option to our existing card processing facilities.

Every time a sale takes place, you will see the funds drop into your Stripe account, where you can view all the details in your dashboard. Stripe then transfer funds to your own bank account on a rolling 7-day basis, so you’ll see regular deposits before the event. You’ll have full visibility of all transactions, and only pay a small fee to Stripe (currently 1.9% + 20p for UK cards) for this additional facility*. There are no setup or monthly fees.
