It’s only been a few months since we dived head first into the world of video streaming, with us now counting the likes of Eats Everything, Andrew Weatherall, Sante and more as acts we’ve brought to you as and when they’re playing at some of the best clubs in the UK.  Last weekend saw our biggest streaming day to date, as we teamed up with Abandon Silence to host Constellations’ outdoor garden stage, with four separate sets going out live and direct onto our Facebook page.

We kicked off the day with NTS Radio favourite Moxie, who warmed up the open-air terrace style courtyard with a blissful mix of disco beats and low-slung house jams.

She was followed by Crazy P. With Danielle Moore taking to the mic to purr lyrics to the now packed-out space, what was a chilled daytime gathering soon started to turn into a proper party as they powered through funk-laden classics. Abandon Silence founder Andrew Hill was also streamed, delivering our favourite set of the evening, before one of the industry’s most respected selectors took over – Move D.

All the streaming equipment used for these videos was provided by Skiddle and set up by a dedicated team of tech/video specialists who ensure everything from the camera angles to the connection is correct. By utilising the various cameras, we’re able to get a breadth of shots which showcase the best parts of the venue and the event, all the while the sound is taken direct through the soundboard, ensuring the cleanest and crispest quality. Streaming is of no cost to the promoter or anyone involved in the event.

The live streams are organised by our clubs editor Becca Frankland and the respective promoter and artist management, so if you’re putting on event which you think might be suitable please get in touch at becca@skiddle.com. We’re currently looking at streaming live bands as well as DJs, and anything from a small intimate show to a large warehouse event or festival is of interest.
