Earlier this year we introduced Artist Alerts: mobile push notifications informing  users when an event is announced near them for an artist they’re tracking.

These have been very well recieved, with over 1M notifications sent so far, and an impressive clickthrough rate of over 20% (compared to email which is usually less than 1%)

At Skiddle we’re focused on timely, targeted alerts which are relevant to the user. Gone are the days of broadcast spammy emails.

Last week we further improved upon this service by adding browser alerts. Working in a similar way, browser alerts send a desktop notification to your device, and work regardless of whether the browser is currently open or not.
Browser Artist Alerts are now available on Chrome, Safari and Firefox.  To get started, ensure you tag your upcoming events to the correct artists in our database.
