Ben Sebborn to talk at International Ticketing Innovations Summit in Lisbon

The second Ticketing Innovation Summit heads to Portugal on June 15th – 16th, bringing with it a huge line up of ticketing and marketing experts from across the globe. The two day event will focus on ticketing in both the transport and events industries, with a focus on security, new technological advances and creating fresh perspectives, as well as developing new strategies and contacts though networking.

Across the weekend, talks from leading experts will range from driving growth in the ticketing business to the future of ticketing, with countless case studies analysing ticketing in all its facets. Highlights include talks about mobile ticketing replacing  smart cards in public transport, marketing strategies in revenue management, data analytics in live entertainment and personalising the fan experience.

Skiddle CTO Ben Sebborn will also be appearing for a 40 minute Case Study called ‘Empowerment and Engagement: Making Customers Central to the Ticketing Experience’.

In it he’ll discuss Skiddle’s move away from traditional ticketing models that favour event promoters, instead seeking to give customers a ticketing experience that benefits them. He’ll then move on to explore how Skiddle thoroughly investigated what customers wanted from their ticket-buying, and how fairness, simplicity, innovation were enabled from listening to their ideas and suggestions.

New features Re:Sell and Cool:Off will also be analysed, and particularly how these customer driven schemes have actually boosted ticket sales. The talk will conclude by looking into how Skiddle works for both the promoters that sell tickets and the customers buying them, and how it gets the balance right to give both parties the fairest deal.

The Summit is run by Luxatia International, and takes place in Lisbon on June 15th-16th.
