It’s traditionally always a big one, but the final week of January again lived up to expectations with plenty of promoters capitalising on the first payday of 2015 to push events on sale and announce their line ups. That was reflected in a flurry of activity by ourselves with both existing and new events coming on sale/
We welcomed The Great Escape as a new seller, the Brighton urban sojourn arguably Europe’s finest celebration of new music, as well as Suffolk shindig Standon Calling also utilising our services for the first time. We are happy that once again we will be renewing our partnership with Leeds’ rave du jour Cocoon in the Park – the first release of tickets for that July event having already sold out.
There was also new line up additions for Knockengorroch World Ceildh, Download and Belladrum, and it wasn’t just big news on the festival circuit as well. Liverpool clubnight Freeze, where tickets are available exclusively with Skiddle, had a furiously busy week; announcing a series of shows in the roofless Bombed Out Church – two have already sold out, one within an hour.
They also released details of a partnership with legendary brand Cream which will see one of the biggest DJs on a planet, Marco Carola, take centre stage in a former asylum (check the preview video above for a flavour) – tickets on sale for that soon.
