I need to accept contactless card payments at my event. How?

The Skiddle Box Office
In 2015 we launched the Skiddle Box Office, in partnership with iZettle. This is a complete iOS App solution for handling card and cash payments on site, using an Apple iPhone or iPad, and an iZettle card reader. The Skiddle Box Office has been used at hundreds of events to date, from intimate club shows to huge festivals. The Box Office can be used to sell event tickets, upgrades, merchandise, drinks, whatever you need.

A feature of our Box Office is taking customer details, as part of the transaction process. Whilst it’s still unclear if this will be an essential requirement for events to happen, in other countries this has been part of the unlocking process in hospitality. Luckily our App is fully ready to meet this need.
Who are iZettle?
Our payment partner, iZettle handles card payments within the app. Successful transactions will be settled into your bank account directly, within 3 working days.
Our RapidScan box office functionality lets you accept major UK credit card (including American Express), leaving more cash in your customer’s pockets to spend at the bar. All you need is the RapidScan app and a bluetooth card reader, which can be purchased from iZettle at a low cost.
There’s no merchant accounts to set up or agreements to fill in. You simply plug in and start selling. Funds are settled into your account alongside your regular Skiddle ticket sales, a few days after your event. You can also accept contactless and Apple Pay at your event, at no additional cost.
Please note the transaction limit for contactless payments has been increased to £45.

The Skiddle Box Office is a free app download available from the iOS app store now.
Signing up for an iZettle account to handle your card payments, is free and will give you an option to purchase a card reader at 50% off.
Box Office tickets are setup in the same way as regular event tickets through your Skiddle promotion centre.
