Hopefully this should be fairly self-explanatory, however if you’ve ever wondered how to handle e-tickets on the night of your event this should give you a little more insight.
What does a customer receive
If you’ve chosen e-tickets as your ticket delivery method (it’s e-tickets by default), when a customer buys a ticket, they will receive a confirmation by email. This contains instructions for their arrival at your event. Because some customers may not be able to print this confirmation (especially if its a last minute purchase), we ask all customers to attend the event with the debit/credit card used to purchase their tickets. The customer also agrees at the time of purchase that they will bring this card as their proof of ID.
What does the promoter receive
Once your tickets have closed (either at the time you specified when setting tickets up, or if you manually close them), you will receive an email containing an eTicket list as an attachment.
This list is an optimised A4 print-out, which lists all customers in an easy-to-read A-Z format, sorted by customer surname. This list has been carefully designed to make it as easy for you to use on the night as possible.
Please print your list on A4 paper (landscape for large lists) and take this list with you to the event.
When customers arrive, they simply give you their full name, you locate them on the list then ask to see their debit/credit card. The card type and last 4 digits are shown on your list for easy reference. Then simply cross the customer off the list and admit them to your event.
What happens if I have multiple ticket options?
Please note, if you are running multiple tickets (eg Earlybird, Standard, VIP) then a separate list will be emailed to you for each ticket. If you would prefer a combined list, containing all customers on one sheet, please visit the Promotion Centre, click on Sell Tickets then navigate to your event and print a combined list. You can also download an Excel/CSV list if you prefer.
