How to… Sell tickets on your website
Skiddle’s ticket widget allows you to sell tickets for events on your website in two ways. The first is via a ticket box and the second is via a ticket button. Both are done through the Promotion Centre, and in this article, we’ll show you how to use it to sell tickets on your website.
Adding tickets
Log in to the Promotion Centre and head to the ‘Promote’ section on the left hand side. From there, click on ‘Add to your website’. You’ll be shown a box where you can type in and locate the listing you would like to sell tickets on your website for.
Choose a listing
Type the listing you would like to sell tickets for in the box. The search function will recognise artist names, locations and titles, so you can use any to find the event. We’ve searched for ‘Manchester’ in this image, which has brought up a listing.
Copy & paste the code
Once you’ve selected the listing you’d like to sell tickets for, the Promotion Centre will generate the HTML code for your ticket box. The box will automatically update whenever you place tickets on or off sale through Skiddle.
Scrolling down the page will give you a preview of what the ticket box will look like.
Ticket Button
The process to add a ticket button is similar to adding a ticket box. In the ‘Add to your website’ tab, you’ll see ‘Add ticket button’. Click here and the Promotion Centre will generate the codes for you to use.
Scrolling down the page will show you a preview of your ticket button.
