Over the remaining months of 2023 and into 2024, members of the Skiddle team will head out to a score of universities across the UK, to deliver a unique masterclass to undergraduate students eager to break into the events sector. The focus of these presentations? “How to Launch a Club Night and Develop a Brand“.
Presenting to those studying music-related courses, from event management to production and performance, our masterclass will seek to educate, empower and nurture Britain’s next generation of club, gig and festival organisers, offering valuable insight into the industry. But our masterclass series isn’t just limited to music enthusiasts. It’s open to anyone with an interest in the arts and event planning.
We believe in supporting the events community, and that the power of knowledge should be accessible to all who are passionate about creating memorable experiences.
What will the masterclass entail?
Our masterclasses will cover an array of topics vital for anyone aspiring to dive into the world of event planning and brand development. Some of the key subjects include:
Ticket Pricing and Booking Talent: Covering tips and strategies to make events financially viable
Cost-Effective Event Promotion: Learning how to effectively market events and build a brand on a budget
The Cost of Living Crisis: Understanding the financial challenges that event organisers might face when putting on an event
Mental Well-being: Discussing the importance of mental well-being in the high-pressure world of event planning

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Our experienced team will delve into many more aspects of the industry, offering their expert opinion and practical advice.

As a bonus, students attending these masterclasses will have access to a list of FREE downloadable resources, providing them with valuable tools to kickstart their event planning journey. And, to top it off, those who attend will also receive Skiddle-branded merchandise to keep the inspiration alive.
