Important Information For Listing NYE Events With Skiddle

In a year that wouldn’t be out of place in a dystopian novel, we’re finally seeing the end and the light at the end of the tunnel with the news of a COVID vaccine. Thank goodness Christmas comes at the end of the year, because this year it is needed now more than ever! 

Now December’s here, New Year’s Eve is fast approaching and although it’ll be a new year like never before, we encourage promoters to start listing with Skiddle if you have plans for a COVID-safe, socially distanced event within your tier.

As always, our team of Customer Care, Account Managers and Account Support staff are here to help, guiding you through this period and ensuring your New Year events run smoothly. 

Choosing Skiddle gives you access to a host of unique tools, all designed to enhance the buying experience for your customers. 

For anyone new to us, here’s a brief recap:

RapidScan – With our RapidScan app, each ticket can be scanned in around 1 second, so validating tickets is likely to be the fastest element of your entry process. Every ticket is automatically validated in real-time, against 3 checks. We ensure the ticket is valid for the event, the ticket is currently being accepted at that entrance, and the ticket hasn’t already been redeemed.

It also allows you to keep track of your event capacity, which is especially useful when adhering to social distancing measures.  Our app is free to download in the Apple Store and on Google Play. 

Re:Sell – Skiddle’s official ticket resale platform. If your whole event sells out, then activate Re:Sell for a secure way for customers to return tickets for resale. Increase attendance by reducing the drop-off, take action against ticket touts and increase revenue by reselling returned tickets at a higher price. For more information click here.

Waiting List – We will automatically begin collecting data for those interested in your event should tickets become unavailable. As soon as more tickets go on sale, extra allocation or returned orders (in conjunction with Re:Sell), they’ll be allocated to customers on the waiting list automatically who will have a window to purchase. Cool:Off – Offer customers a 72 hour grace period on their ticket orders. This increases impulse purchases, customer peace of mind, repeat business and all-round good vibes to your buyers. This is a feature completely unique to Skiddle.

NYE 2020 Ticket Close Times

Last minute ticket sales on New Years Eve are big news, so make sure your tickets are on sale and available as late as possible! The Skiddle RapidScan App will sync automatically and update with new orders, meaning tickets can remain on sale even after your doors have opened (App device/s must be connected to WiFi/4G!).

Check and edit the close times on your tickets through the promotion centre. If you’re unsure on how to do this, just drop us a line.

Our remittance cycles over the 2020 festive period will be on the following dates, running as usual on Tuesdays and Thursdays:

  • Thursday 24th December (clearing Tuesday 29th)
  • Tuesday 29th December (clearing Monday 4th)
  • Thursday 31st December (clearing Tuesday 5th)
  • Tuesday 5th January (clearing Thursday 7th)
