Skiddle Announce Jimmy Coultas Joins Team as News Editor

We’re pleased to announce Jimmy Coultas has joined the Skiddle team with his recent appointment to the role of News Editor.

Jimmy’s a seasoned events industry professional who, prior to joining Skiddle worked throughout the UK’s music scene both as a PR manager and journalist. Over the years he’s clocked up a considerable amount of experience working with the likes of Circus, We Love… Space, Chibuku, Lake of Stars Festival, Yousef and Sankeys, to name but a few.

Jimmy has DJ’d at events such as the Garden Festival, Creamfields, V Festival, Rockness, Isle of Wight Festival and Latitude, so his know-how of how to have fun in a field will also be a firm part of Skiddle’s festival coverage over the upcoming months.

Skiddle’s Ticketing Director Richard Dyer said: “Skiddle has grown considerably over the last few years and our editorial content has always lead the way. The news area sets us apart from many of the other ticket outlets and allows us to really push events that we’re working with.”

As an integral part of Skiddle’s team, Jimmy’s appointment as Editor represents a shift in the direction of Skiddle’s editorial coverage with a renewed focus on making Skiddle a leading, must-read resource for music aficionados whilst continuing to provide the type of up-to-the-minute, nationwide “what’s on” coverage Skiddle’s audience has come to expect.

Dyer went on to say: “Choosing someone closely aligned to our core market in the live events sector as our new Editor was crucial. Jimmy’s previous experience will allow him to hit the ground running and I’m confident he’ll make a major contribution to the development of Skiddle in the future.”

Head of Marketing, Simon Dalley also commented on Jimmy’s arrival, adding “Editorial is crucial to our customer acquisition and retention strategy, as such the team has recently been strengthened and we’ve really focused in on what works for us. Jimmy has a good base to start with and the opportunities for extending our reach are considerable.”
