This year we’re sponsoring the UK Festival Awards and Conference, which takes place in The Roundhouse Theatre on Monday 28th November. The awards celebrate everything great about festivals, with accolades ranging from Best Festival and Best New Festival even down to Best Toilets, with the industry given the opportunity to meet up and congratulate the innovators in the market.

As well as the awards we are also getting involved with the conference in the day. We will have a stand there where we’ll be able to explain everything we can offer for festivals of any size, with members of our operations management, content, account management and business development teams all attending. On top of that, we will also be taking part in two of the many panels which highlight issues for the festival market.

Our director Ben Sebborn will sit on the panel for Increasing Ticket Sales, alongside voices from Ticketmaster, Ticket Factory and Dice – which will take place at 11.30am. He’ll be getting across everything we are doing to champion festival sales, from our hugely comprehensive festival guide to the tailored approach we offer festivals of every size. If you’re a promoter this is an essential  discussion which will help improve the performance of your event.

Our head of Content & Communication Jimmy Coultas will also moderate the Cashless Future of UK Festivals Panel, where representatives of Eastern Electrics, PlayPass, Snowbombing and NCASS will discuss how festivals will harness a market increasingly becoming more embroiled in wearable tech. This opens the conference at 10.30am.

If you’re heading down to the awards and are interested in planning a conversation with any of our staff at the festival awards, please contact Matt Fawbert on matt@skiddle.com.
