Skiddle Customers Raise Thousands for CALM
Skiddle is pleased to announced they have raised over £2,000 in support of C.A.L.M. (Campaign Against Living Miserably), the UK’s leading leading charity focused on reducing suicides in young men.
Having supported CALM for a number of years, the recent donation of £2,320 adds to the considerable donations, already made by Skiddle customers, for this very worthy cause.
Donations to the charity are made by the Preston-based, primary ticket outlet’s customers at the point of checkout where the customers is encouraged to make a donation of £1 in support of the charity.
Supporting of a number of charities throughout the site, Skiddle provides the functionality to enable event promoters selling tickets to nominate a charity. Skiddle made the decision to make CALM Skiddle’s charity of choice due to the nature of the charity’s work and the crossover between their activities and concerns of Skiddle’s audience.
A long time exponent of CALM’s charitable endeavours, Skiddle’s Ticketing Director, Richard Dyer said: “ We’ve been very fortunate with the success of Skiddle and we’ve always felt it’s important that we give something back to the community. It’s great that Skiddle provides a platform which can be used to donate to charities and we’re especially proud to have raised so much over the years to support the invaluable work of CALM.”
