Eliminate touts and limit no-shows with Re:Sell
It’s the end of the night. Everyone’s gone home and you’re cleaning everything up after a busy event. However, when you check the entry data, you find that not everyone who bought a ticket attended the night. Worse still, you’re fielding complaints from people. Why are they unhappy? They paid over the odds for a ticket that wasn’t valid.
No-shows are part of the game. People buy a ticket: they get ill, double-book or have to dogsit for their cousin’s pooch. We get it. But you still have to account for the losses.
Touts, on the other hand, make things worse for everyone. Someone’s out there making money off the back of your hard work. Meanwhile, potential attendees are being charged sky-high amounts for a ticket which might not even be genuine. It can hurt your brand’s reputation.
So, where do we come in? ‘Re:Sell’. It’s a feature in the Promotion Centre that helps you limit no-shows and eliminate touts. If a customer can’t attend an event, they can use Re:Sell to sell it. We’re the official ticket agent, which means we can verify the status of the tickets.
You get a better chance of fewer no-shows, too. Someone can attend the event without paying over the odds, you don’t lose any of your remittance and touts can’t take advantage of your hard work.

The importance of managing budgets for your festival
So, your idea has made it past the planning stage. Whether it’s one, two or three days: the prospect of pulling off an event like this gets the blood flowing.
But how can you avoid the fate of falling into the ether? Budgeting. It’s a crucial part of event management, and we’ve got some pointers on why.
Keeps you accountable: That big-name headliner with a massive stage show might be appealing in the moment, but will they add something to your festival? Budgeting means you can be responsible with your money and make decisions that benefit the event’s long-term health.
Longevity: You want your event to last. Correct budgeting means that you can keep going for many years, building a reputable day that eventually grows into a weekend. By maximising the funds you do have, you’re able to grow at a steady rate.
Reduced stress: Fail to plan, plan to fail. It’s an old adage, we know. One that brings you back to tedious science lessons at school. But it does ring true. You will face challenges when putting on an event, and having a plan in place will make it much easier to navigate them. You’ll thank your past self for having a dedicated spreadsheet.

Gain as much first-hand experience as you can in the area that interests you. Be it marketing or production, work on developing a specific skill set that aligns with that.”
