Social distancing event options now mandatory

We know you’re all clued up in respect of the new guidelines and better than ever at completing risk assessments! To highlight what measures you are taking to put on your event in order to comply with the UK Government’s Social Distancing Guidelines, we recently announced our new ‘social distancing measures’ feature. More on this here.

If you’ve already listed your event, please update it with your social distancing measures by simply editing your event listing via your account in the Promotion Centre. Please note, it is mandatory that all suitable options relevant to your event are chosen and displayed. It’s even been proven to increase consumer confidence when purchasing tickets too!

Make sure your event sticks to Government guidelines

As many of you are aware, the Government recently announced a curfew for all pubs, bars and restaurants to close no later than 10pm. It is important that your listing sticks to these guidelines as Skiddle will be monitoring those which are advertised outside the Government guidelines and restrictions. We will not be able to work with any events that do not adhere to these guidelines.

If you are advertising your event as at a secret location, then you must provide a location at least 48hrs prior to your event. If your event is on the weekend, then this location must be provided by the Friday prior to your event at the very latest. This is important for us because, well, simply put, we want to ensure your customers know where to attend the event. Please send your event location to your account manager or to our account support team at promoters@skiddle.com. Should we not receive this, remittance may be held up for 7 days after your event.

Read our open letter to the Government calling for change

You may have seen, last week, the Skiddle team wrote an open letter to the Government requesting transparency and fairness when it comes to funding processes as well as a clear roadmap on how we can come out of this pandemic. We’ve had an amazing response so far, with coverage from the likes of CMU, BBC Radio 2 and more, but we need your support in order to encourage change and get the Government to respond. Please continue to share and hold our Government representatives accountable. Read more.
