It’s been a great year for our Skiddle App, which since launching back at the end of 2015 has become one of the most popular phone applications for users to discover gigs, clubnights and festivals in the UK, buy tickets to events, and get notified when their favourite artists announce shows. With exclusive features too like booking fee free tickets, its popularity has increased hugely over the past few months, peaking at number 11 in the overall music download chart on New Year’s Eve. The app is now placed at number 117 across the entire App Store, with in excess of half a million downloads in 2016 alone.
By comparison, fellow what’s on apps Dice and Songkick have had less of an impact. Dice peaked the music category at number 17, falling to 242 across the entire App Store, whereas Songkick reached its height at number 18, and currently sits 314th across the store.
The results are clear – if you want your event to have the most exposure possible and get directly into the hands of customers, listing your event on Skiddle is one of the best ways to do so. Find out more about featuring your event and maximising its presence on the app by contacting one of our account managers here.
The Skiddle App, which features push notifications for shows and artist announcements as well as Spotify and Uber intergration, is also available on Android.
