If you’re looking to announce any event details, line up information or tour, one of the best ways to do so is via our news section (read our previous guide on this). News articles offer an informative snapshot of an event, as well as a clean and simple way of all the ticket information in one place. It’s also extra coverage for your event to help publicise it, alongside extra ways to rank on Google and pick up important traffic of potential customers.

What makes these articles so successful is clear planning. Whilst we understand in the hot and heady events world changes come thick and fast, but relaying the information about an on sale to our content team early means you can get a decision well in advance on whether this is something that would work for you – as well as more chance of it being ready to unleash as soon as you want to announce.

And are you using a pre-reg? A news article particularly comes into its own here, as the ticket boxes can accumulate all the interest in the event through our Waiting List and Remind Me features – giving you that early access to customers you need to make a success of your event. We recently worked with a promoter on the announcement of Todd Terje coming to Liverpool, resulting in a four figure sign up of interested event-goers.

News articles have been particularly successful when you can rely on artists to share them as well – as evidenced with jazz musician Stanley Clarke did so for his recent tour. It gives you an easy means of sharing this information across all your promotional channels – as well as our social networks. If you think this applies to you and your events please get in touch with our content team (find out how).
