Improving the quality of event images on Skiddle

New developments are underway at Skiddle, which will shortly see a new event search being released. It will be the most advanced event search in the UK and give the visitor a more visual and rewarding experience.

What’s changing?

We’re aiming to make our event search more visual, which in tests has boosted the conversion rate (number of tickets sold) for each event by up to 15%. This is a fantastic boost for your event. However, our tests also show that when poor quality images are used, it can reduce the conversion rate.

As we’re always pushing to boost the number of tickets sold for each and every event sold on Skiddle, we’re pushing to improve the quality of all images.

Starting this week will be moderating the images that are uploaded against events. If you already upload good quality images for your event, then you won’t notice any difference – it won’t delay your events going live in any way.

However, if our moderation team find that your event has a very low quality image, we may remove the image from your event listing, and notify you that an alternative image is needed. We’ll keep your event live during this process, so it won’t affect the status of your event, we’ll just show a default venue or placeholder image instead.

We’re prepared a quick Knowledge Base article to give some examples of good and bad images, which you can read here: https://www.promotioncentre.co.uk/knowledgebase-article.php?i=105
