Let’s be honest, you should have already sorted out what you’re going to be doing on the biggest night of the year, however if you’re still thinking about what to do, we thought we’d help you with some ideas for your events’ New Year’s Eve theme.

Thinking of a theme for your night can be a bit of hard work – after a bit of head scratching we thought you might want to explore a 1920’s theme. Think sequins, feathers etc.

Even if you don’t push your whole night to the customers as a 1920’s theme, if you want to give them a night to remember it might be a nice touch to get all your staff in part for the night.

Think about getting a load of fabric in, it’s surprising what some richly coloured fabric could do to really brighten up your venue and make your event feel that bit more thought through (plus it’s relatively easy to buy this sort of stuff from the local market and pin it up!!!). Stick with primary colours, as well as colours such as blacks and white  (with hints of gold), and scatter around a few feathers etc. Just keep the costs down – you’re going to pull it all down within a few hours of it going up anyway!

There are plenty of stores out there you might want to consider looking at for 1920’s supplies. Check out some of these (you might get some ideas here if nothing else!):
