Skiddle’s iOS app gets a refurb

Our appealing and easy-to-navigate iOS app just got a sleek new facelift, thanks to the hardworking development team at Skiddle HQ. The major revamp has introduced several new changes to the iPhone operating app, affecting both its appearance and functionality. The eagle-eyed amongst you may have already noticed the new look, with the update being rolled out gradually over the past week, but for those who have yet to see, here’s a list of what our coding wizards have been working on:

Side Menu

The side menu has been removed, along with the top navigation bar, and instead replaced with a tab bar at the bottom of the screen. In line with most apps available on the iOS app store at present, this upgrade makes our platform much cleaner and easier to get around. 

‘Discover’ tab updates

The ‘Discover’ tab on the homepage of the Skiddle app has been expanded to include a wider variety of events, with a particular emphasis on incorporating more coverage of lifestyle listings. The update also includes a new selector, also found at the top of the homepage, where music and/or lifestyle events can be filtered at the preference of the app user.

‘Search’ bar update

The ‘Search’ bar, situated at the very top of the app’s homepage, now allows users to search for events by date, location and/or event type, without the need to include keywords or specific search terms. This upgrade will ultimately help event listings become more visible to those searching, for example, for last minute events to attend. 

Stay22 integration

Event and ticket pages on the app now include a map-based accommodation booking system, built by the dynamic team at Stay22. The system, which has access to a huge inventory of hotels, allows event attendees to find a place to stay nearby the venue they’re visiting for the lowest price available. The process is simple and couldn’t be more stress-free. Another reason for your customers to shop with Skiddle.
